satire: veritas

i sort of need new shoes. i don't need in the sense that i'm shoeless, i suppose i could wear my running shoes or just give up and force my self to learn how to walk in any of the pairs ridiculous high heels i bought only because they matched my favorite anthropologie dresses.
but my normal day to day shoes are a bit worn, and with the winter months approaching and possible rain this weekend, my feet get cold just thinking about the holes in my shoes...

blue shoes
flip flops ("thongs" to you weirdos)
chucks
cold feet (pardon the rolled up biker pant leg, and the angle-i'm too lazy to fix it)

so i went to my favorite vegan discount shoe store and found some new shoes that i liked for $12.99. i didn't buy them because i'm nervous about spending money right now...though i wasn't nervous buying a $3 chocolate bar the other night.
i need to get my priorities straight.

i ordered blinds this week, they should be installed monday or so. and i finally got my upholstery swatches. after an in depth fabric analysis we (myself plus mom and leilani via video conference) narrowed down the choices. i'm about to order the new love seat....and make coin purses out of the swatches.

i've been riding my bike around the neighborhood and i love it.

i ran a race on wednesday and finished much faster than i expected, go me! i'm shooting for even faster next year, i'll be speed training around lake merritt next summer.

a coworker's husband wants me to date his friend. he already pictured us married. i'm not sure it would really work out, the guy is originally from turlock and he works in cheese...

bridget almost beat up some girls who wanted to eat me at the peter bjorn and john show on tuesday. thanks bridge, and thanks to gio for holding her coat. the show was fun, thanks to dan for inviting and sorry to rach for missing it.
