for anyone who missed out on my sweet employee excellence awards night dance routine last year, here's the goods. skip to 2:30 and turn on the volume.

had my first softball game tonight, it was tons of fun! i had a 2 hits and 2 runs, not bad for not having played in years, but i need to get some time in at the batting cages and get someone to help me practice fielding (volunteers?). our field is in west oakland. there were some kids sitting in the benches and hanging on the backstop cheering and heckling us, they were mostly funny and nice, and they were just young kids, maybe 10 years old. then they started trying to get into the dugouts without us noticing. then they tried to walk off with my bike, which i'd luckily locked up to the fence, but they didn't notice the lock until it jerked them back to the fence as they tried to walk away. then they pulled charcoal out of the garbage can and started throwing it at me in right field. when i asked them to stop throwing charcoal at me they said if they were throwing it at me they wouldn't have missed. when i ignored them they said they'd shoot me. maybe 10 years old. big time bummer.
