it wasn't even that big but it scared the crap out of me. i'm still shaking a little. claire's been yelling at me non-stop for days, maybe she knew it was coming. i grabbed her and started to run to a safe spot, i made it to my front door and froze, if i went further down there would be more on top of us if the building fell...yikes!
why do i remember the '89 quake not being that scary? maybe because i wasn't alone when that one hit. and i was 8, nothing's that scary when you're 8. probably doesn't help that i've been studying seismic junk for the past year either.

Earthquakes by yourself are always WAY more scary. Next time, let's be sure to be together and we can just blame it on the fat people who live upstairs again.
I remember you being pretty scared when you were 8! Do you remember the trees swaying when we ran out of the house? And being worried that the cliff was going to separate from our back yard? And at my office the filing cabinets all fell on our desks. We didn't have tv, radio, or telephone reception for days. It was pretty scary! I guess that wouldn't all seem so important when you're 8. I'm sorry you were scared last night and I'm glad that you and Claire are safe.
dude! it freaked me out!!! there i was...wiping averys butt in the hallway...and i look up and my pots and pans are swaying! it seemed like a pretty long one too. "juniper! get in a doorway". she had no idea what the hell i meant by that or why i was saying it. um...time for the earthquake talk i guess. how weird is it that just month i bought a jug of water and labeled it "earthquake water. do not drink". weird right?? anyways...longest blog comment ever.
