bar crab.

i invited everyone in my department (about 30 people) out for drinks after work yesterday to celebrate my promotion. six people showed up. well, i guess really only five since one of them was just the boyfriend of a girl i work with. but quality is better than quantity and the people who showed up are some of my favorites. it was fun.

today's gwen gem:

g: your hair is too long. it used to be so cute but now it just looks like you need a haircut.
me: GWEN! that was NOT a nice thing to say.
g: (looks at me with a shrug, as if to say "i'm just saying," then walks away)

i just got my hair cut 6.5 weeks ago...but guess i'll make an apointment for saturday.
